Homeless people living outside Airbnb headquarters – video

The Silicon Valley poster child was valued at $10bn last year, but in a nearby area near Airbnb headquarters a community of homeless people tell a different tale as none of those interviewed had heard of Airbnb even though the four-storey office, a 72,000-square-foot converted warehouse, dominates this section of the SoMa district.



They did not know the company's motto – 'We believe in a world where all seven billion of us can belong anywhere' – was a poster child of Silicon Valley's vaunted 'sharing economy', with more than 1 million homes listed worldwide. Continue reading...
