New 48MP sensors from Sony and Samsung won't be the first to test the waters of high-resolution phone camera sensors. Most notably, Nokia pioneered the idea with its large sensor model, and Huawei's Mate 20 Pro features a 40MP main shooter, but Honor and Xiaomi are looking to use the new sensors to push the envelope even further.
